## What it does

qaskills exposes six tools to the agent: `search_skills`, `get_skill`, `get_skill_content`, `install_skill`, `list_categories`, `get_leaderboard`. Search and install happen inside the chat, no terminal round-trip. The catalog is QA-specific: E2E, API, unit, performance, security, accessibility, mobile.

It runs as a standard MCP server via `npx -y @qaskills/mcp`. In Claude one command is enough; other clients take an `mcpServers` block in their config. The server is listed in the official MCP registry as `io.github.PramodDutta/qaskills`.

If your catalog lives somewhere other than the public endpoint, you need `QASKILLS_API_URL` — without it the server falls back to the default address. Worth checking the config up front, especially behind a private network. MIT licensed.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `QASKILLS_API_URL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
- Works with: Playwright
