## What it does

Pyrimid Protocol links three sides — vendors list paid MCP tools and AI APIs, agents find and buy them over x402, and smart contracts on Base settle commissions in USDC. Agents get `pyrimid_browse` to search the catalog, `pyrimid_preview` to see the commission split before paying, and `pyrimid_buy` to complete a purchase with affiliate attribution.

The split works like this: 1% goes to the protocol treasury, the affiliate gets 0–50% depending on the rate the vendor sets, and the vendor keeps the rest. With no affiliate, the vendor receives 99%. Registry, Catalog, Router and Treasury contracts are deployed and verified on Base Mainnet using the ERC-1967 proxy pattern.

Read access to the API is free and rate-limited to 60 requests per minute. Paid endpoints such as `/api/v1/paid/signals` answer with HTTP 402 and x402 `accepts[]` metadata first; you retry with an `X-PAYMENT` or `X-PAYMENT-TX` header. No Base wallet and no working x402 payment means `pyrimid_buy` goes nowhere.
