# pylon-mcp

## What it does

pylon-mcp exposes Pylon operations to an MCP-enabled agent. It can retrieve, search, create, edit, and remove accounts, contacts, issues, and tags. Other tools cover organization details, teams, issue followers, snoozing, and message redaction.

The server is added with the `pylon-mcp` package and launched through `npx`. It needs a Pylon API token, and Pylon allows only Admin users to create one. Node.js 24+ is required, so an older runtime will prevent the server from starting. The MCP setup passes the token through the environment.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)

## Example prompts
- Show the Pylon organization and find an account matching these filters.
- Create a Pylon issue from these details, then add the listed followers.
- Find issues from this time range and snooze the selected one until the given time.
