# publish-mcp-server

An MCP server that walks you through publishing your own MCP server to the registry. Useful once your server works and needs to go out.

## What it does

It runs through `uvx` and attaches to the agent as a standard stdio MCP server. From there the publishing happens in conversation: you tell the agent what you built, and it guides the submission steps.

Supported in Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and Gemini CLI. The wiring is the same everywhere — `uvx publish-mcp-server` in the MCP config.

Without `uvx` on your machine the server will not start, so check that it is on `PATH` first. MIT licensed, so you can read the code and change it.

## Requirements
- Needs: Python and uv (commands run via uvx)
