# Profitpather

Profitpather gives AI agents access to unsampled Shopify event analytics. Use it to inspect acquisition sources, conversion funnels, visitor journeys, and potential revenue losses.

## What it does

Profitpather exposes 26 MCP tools for querying Shopify store analytics from an AI coding client. The tools cover sessions, campaign attribution, funnel stages, page transitions, device breakdowns, and pixel health. `pp_diagnose_leaks` combines eight analyses into a prioritised recommendation list, while `pp_brief` returns a formatted snapshot of key metrics, acquisition, devices, and pixel status.

The server uses Streamable HTTP at `https://profitpather.com/mcp` and authenticates through OAuth 2.1. A Shopify store needs the Profitpather Custom Pixel to collect the events used by its analytics. Merchant events are stored in D1, with queries reading the database directly rather than passing through a cache or sampling layer. All 26 tools are read-only and scoped to the merchant's own data, so the agent can investigate issues but cannot apply fixes through these tools.

Supported clients include Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, Zed, and Gemini CLI. Add the MCP connection using the relevant client configuration, restart the client, and authorise access when the first tool call triggers OAuth. Without the Shopify Custom Pixel collecting events, the server lacks the store activity needed for its analysis.

## When to use it
- Trace revenue back to acquisition sources and campaigns
- Locate funnel stages where shoppers drop out
- Find page transitions associated with dead ends
- Check analytics pixel coverage and status
- Compare store metrics across reporting periods

## Example prompts
- Summarise the store's traffic and sales using `pp_brief`.
- Use `pp_diagnose_leaks` to identify revenue losses and rank the recommended actions.
- Compare acquisition channels by revenue and conversion with `pp_acquisition`.
