## What it does

This MCP server exposes 13 tools for interacting with self-hosted PLANKA boards. It allows an agent to inspect project hierarchy, retrieve card details, update task statuses, manage comments, and edit board tags. All tool inputs are checked using Zod.

The server runs via `npx` using `@gogogadgetbytes/planka-mcp`. It requires three environment variables to authenticate: `PLANKA_BASE_URL`, `PLANKA_AGENT_EMAIL`, and `PLANKA_AGENT_PASSWORD`.

The code expects PLANKA 2.0 endpoints. It sends the required `type` attribute during card creation and calls `/card-labels` routes, so installations running PLANKA 1.x will fail due to API differences.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `PLANKA_BASE_URL`, `PLANKA_AGENT_EMAIL`, `PLANKA_AGENT_PASSWORD` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
