## What it does

Pipeworx routes assistant queries to remote public registries through an HTTP endpoint. Instead of configuring separate services for FRED or SEC EDGAR, the gateway provides composite functions like `trade_bilateral_analysis` and `fintech_company_deep_dive`. These merge several upstream feeds into one query. For unstructured questions, `ask_pipeworx` identifies the relevant tool and sets arguments automatically.

You can scope tool definitions using the `?task=` query parameter in your connection URL. That keeps the prompt context clean. Gateway responses are cached alongside freshness details, and error messages suggest alternative functions.

Anonymous sessions stop at 50 daily requests. You will need an `X-API-Key` header or an account on `pipeworx.io` to reach 200 calls.
