## What it does

The server provides 29 tools for reading Pinterest Ads data and 30 for write operations. They cover reports, audiences, catalogs, and native campaign work. Writes are off by default and require confirmation; campaign changes are previewed first.

For local use, you need Pinterest credentials and an MCP client that supports stdio. In Claude Code, add the server with `claude mcp add`; it runs through the `@getmcpads/pinterest-ads-mcp-server` package. The required runtime is Node.js 22.23.4, 24.22.1, 26.12.1, or a newer release in those lines. Older versions start the server with a warning on stderr.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `PINTEREST_ACCESS_TOKEN`, `PINTEREST_REFRESH_TOKEN`, `PINTEREST_APP_ID`, `PINTEREST_APP_SECRET`, `PINTEREST_AD_ACCOUNT_IDS`, `PINTEREST_AD_ACCOUNT_ID`, `PINTEREST_ENABLE_WRITES`, `PINTEREST_ENVIRONMENT`, `LOG_LEVEL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
