## What it does

\`personal-finance` exposes deterministic finance calculators through MCP. It covers time-value calculations, debt payments, portfolio metrics, bond and equity valuation, mutual funds, savings products, and related planning tasks. The same inputs produce the same numeric result.

A planning tool named `create_financial_plan` routes a user’s description to the relevant calculators and combines the results into a prioritized plan. The project also provides a web interface and API, while its market-data tools can retrieve fund NAVs, foreign-exchange rates, and stock quotes. Those sources work without API keys.

Running from source requires Python 3.10+. The Claude Code setup uses `uvx` and starts the server over stdio. The hosted connector is a shared, rate-limited instance that may cold-start after idle, so private or heavier use belongs on a local or self-hosted setup.

## Requirements
- Needs: Python and uv (commands run via uvx)
