# Padlet

Connects an agent to your Padlet boards so it can find, read, create and edit posts, sections and comments. Hosted by Padlet, nothing to run locally.

- MCP server · `type=mcp` · Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, Zed, Gemini CLI
- Author: padlet
- License: MIT · policy=link-only · description only; the file stays with the author

## What it does

The server sits at `https://mcp.padlet.com/` and speaks streamable HTTP. Whatever you can open or change in Padlet, the agent can too — and nothing beyond that, since every call runs as the signed-in user.

There is no API key. On the first connection your client opens a Padlet sign-in page in the browser and you approve the request; the session sticks, so you sign in once. Skip that step and the server hands over no tools at all.

Tools come in sets. The plain URL serves 49 of them, or 73 for owners, admins and teachers in a Padlet for Schools or Teams library. Clients that cap how many tools a model sees can drop sets with `?toolsets=core` or `?toolsets=core,board_admin`. A read-only endpoint lives at `https://mcp.padlet.com/read-only` with five tools that only search and read.
