## What it does

Package Intel MCP gives an agent tools to search packages and inspect metadata, release history, and download counts. It can show direct dependencies for a selected version, or return health signals such as OpenSSF Scorecard, stars, and dependent projects.

Package details come from public npm, PyPI, and crates.io APIs; deps.dev supplies dependency graphs and health signals. Select `npm`, `pypi`, or `crates` for a query. No API key is required. Treat the results as informational: they give you evidence to review, not a decision about whether a dependency belongs in your project.
