## What it does

This MCP server interfaces directly with the Outrank platform to run search optimization workflows. Agents can research keywords, track backlinks, inspect search cannibalization, and draft articles. Content connects to CMS targets including Webflow, Framer, and Notion, or straight into Outrank Blog.

Clients can connect remotely over HTTP at `https://www.outrank.so/api/mcp` or launch a local stdio instance via `outrank-cli`. Local execution demands Node.js 18 or higher. Without an active `outr_live_...` credential, backend API calls will fail immediately.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://www.outrank.so/api/mcp`
- Environment variables: `OUTRANK_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## When to use it

- publish generated draft articles directly to Webflow or Framer
- audit Google Search Console data for URL cannibalization
