# Orbit

Lets an AI agent reach Orbit issues, boards and docs through OAuth. Useful when the agent should read the board and file work on its own.

## What it does

Orbit is a free task manager with issues, sprints, projects and docs. Its MCP server exposes that data to an agent, so it can see the board, pull context from existing tickets and create new work without you switching tabs.

Access runs on OAuth and is scoped to your account. The agent sees what you see and nothing beyond that. No separate API key to hand out: sign-in happens against `https://orbit.noveum.ai/mcp`.

Setup is a single HTTP transport command in `Claude Code`, Codex or Gemini CLI; Cursor and GitHub Copilot take a JSON block instead. The endpoint points at Noveum's hosted instance. Run Orbit yourself and this server won't talk to your copy.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://orbit.noveum.ai/mcp`

```
### Codex
**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add mcp-server --url https://orbit.noveum.ai/mcp
```
### Cursor
**Config file**
## When to use it
- read the board without leaving the editor
- file a ticket straight from a chat
- check for duplicates before creating an issue
- pull project context into a code change
- see what is already in the current sprint
## Example prompts
- List my open Orbit issues for this week
- Create an Orbit issue for the auth module refactor
- Find existing Orbit issues about the failing build
