## What it does

The MCP server connects an AI agent to an openstatus workspace. Use it to manage monitors, status pages, incidents, and maintenance windows from an agent conversation. It fits workflows where you need to update service status or handle an incident without switching to the dashboard.

openstatus also lets teams define monitors and status pages in YAML or Terraform, then apply changes through the CLI or CI. Incidents can be handled from the dashboard or Slack, and agent access goes through MCP. In Claude Code, add the server with `claude mcp add --transport http openstatus https://api.openstatus.dev/mcp`.
