## What it does

The server exposes the OpenSTAAD API to local AI clients. Through tool calls, an assistant reads structural geometry and updates member definitions directly in the file. This cuts repetitive clicks.

The tool handles multiple running STAAD.Pro windows at once. Processing stays strictly local on your machine. There is no telemetry.

Requirements include Windows 11 and STAAD.Pro 2025. Without a model open in the software, the server will not execute any commands.

- assign structural sections across multiple frame members
- generate wind or seismic load combinations
- retrieve node coordinates and support reactions
- manage several open STAAD.Pro models at the same time

## Example prompts

- Set up lateral load cases for the open structural model in STAAD.Pro.
- Extract support reaction values and node coordinates for foundation design.
