## What it does

This MCP server organizes agent working memory around standard directory layouts instead of proprietary cloud silos. Agents record active context in `CONTEXT.md`, keep reusable data in `knowledge/`, and archive completed blocks using `openfuse compact`. Time-sensitive notes can carry validity metadata, allowing expired records to prune automatically during compaction.

Inter-agent communication runs on public-key cryptography. Setup creates an Ed25519 signing pair and an age encryption pair inside `.keys/` with restrictive `chmod 600` permissions. Private keys never leave the host. Without an age public key for the recipient on file, outbox dispatches fall back to plaintext delivery.

## When to use it
- persist agent state across CLI sessions using flat markdown files
- send signed and encrypted messages between peer agents
- clean up completed task blocks by archiving them to `history/`
- coordinate shared workspaces with access levels and broadcast channels
