## What it does

This server connects coding agents to the Google Search Console API. It retrieves metrics for clicks, impressions, positions, and CTR across dimensions like device, query, and country. Built-in tools like `explain_change` isolate traffic fluctuations and match them against official Google updates.

API pitfalls are caught locally. The server checks invalid regex patterns, bad country codes, and future ranges before querying Google, preventing silent empty responses. If you do not mark your OAuth setup as In production inside Google Cloud, your login token will expire after 7 days.

Running the tool requires `uv` and an authenticated Google Cloud project. Modification tools support adding properties and sitemaps, but you can turn off mutation requests using `GSC_ENABLE_WRITES=0`.

## Requirements
- Needs: Python and uv (commands run via uvx)
- Environment variables: `GSC_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_FILE`, `GSC_ENABLE_WRITES` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
