## What it does

NyayAssist gives the agent access to a library of Indian judgments and Acts. It can look up legal sources, examine matter documents and answer research questions with citations. The available tools also cover drafting and revising documents, translation, and text recognition for scanned files.

This is a hosted MCP server, so there is no server to deploy locally. Sign in to your NyayAssist account through OAuth 2.1; you do not need to create an API key. The connector can access only content available to that account, and the plan determines which work-creating tools you can use.

Add the server in Claude Code with `claude mcp add --transport http nyayassist https://mcp.nyayassist.ai/mcp`. Check your NyayAssist plan before relying on tools that create research, drafts or other work.
