## What it does

The `notepatra-mcp` server bridges external AI agents with the native Notepatra desktop editor. It exposes 49 tools to assistants like Claude Code. Capabilities include Git repository inspection, read-only SQL queries through saved database connections, chart generation, and Noter notebook access.

The server runs entirely on the developer's computer as a local sidecar binary. Without a running Notepatra editor instance, the server cannot function. Security remains strict. Any write action halts until the user approves it manually inside the editor window.

- verify file modifications manually inside the editor before applying writes
