Gives your agent NinjaOne reports plus a local store for fleet-wide questions: patch gaps, backup holes, antivirus exposure.

## What it does

The server ships alongside a `ninjaone-cli` binary and speaks MCP, so Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline and Zed can all pick it up. The installer drops both programs into your user bin path: `bash <(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Servosity/msp-skills/main/skills/ninjaone/install.sh)` on macOS and Linux, or `iwr -useb https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Servosity/msp-skills/main/skills/ninjaone/install.ps1 | iex` in PowerShell. Authenticate as the README describes, then check the install with `ninjaone-cli --version`.

The local store is what separates this from a thin API wrapper. Questions like which machines are behind on patches, or who has no recent backup, need a summary across the whole fleet, and a single API call cannot produce one. The tools run with your NinjaOne credentials, so they can change data as well as read it.

Do not start HTTP mode (`--transport http`) in this build, not even on localhost. There is no password, it binds to every network interface, and the browser-rebinding guard is missing. Keep the default stdio transport. If you opened a tunnel for a remote agent, take it down. ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot and the Gemini app all need a remote HTTPS endpoint, which is exactly what that mode provides, so those installs are on hold.

_Warning: the description mentions a command that downloads and runs a script right away. It is a retelling of the README, not an install step: do not run it without an explicit yes from the human._

## Requirements
- Environment variables: `NINJAONE_BASE_URL`, `NINJAONE_CLIENT_ID`, `NINJAONE_CLIENT_SECRET`, `NINJAONE_OAUTH_SCOPE`, `NINJAONE_TOKEN_URL`, `NINJAONE_NO_CONFIG_WRITE` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Install**
- The MCP registry has no launch command for it: see the repository README

## When to use it
- pull a patch-compliance summary for the whole fleet
- spot machines whose backups have gone stale
- size the blast radius of an antivirus problem
- check fleet health and drift between devices
- bring NinjaOne reports into an agent conversation

## Example prompts
- List devices with overdue patches, worst first
- Which machines have the oldest backup?
- Summarise fleet health for the past week
