## What it does

This MCP server delivers curated event feeds gathered from hundreds of publications worldwide. Incoming articles are clustered and ranked by relevance, which helps an agent parse current events without noise. The `get_news` tool handles filtered listings, while `get_news_detail` uncovers context and underlying reference sources.

Setup requires no subscription or secret keys. The runtime only needs Node.js, because the process executes straight through `npx`. If your workflow bypasses MCP, the same aggregated streams are exposed via a standard REST endpoint at `https://newsmcp.io/v1`.
