## What it does

This server feeds news publication numbers and query popularity into AI tools. It exposes three primary functions: `get_time_series` retrieves historical volumes for a keyword, `get_growth` measures change across spans from 7 days to 5 years, and `get_top_trends` surfaces current top items. Where supported, metrics use a 0–100 scale.

Setup connects to a hosted HTTP endpoint or runs locally via the `trends_mcp_server` Python package. The free tier caps usage at 100 requests per month, so continuous heavy data collection requires planning around that ceiling. It aggregates indicators across Google, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms under a single key.
