## What it does

This server bridges AI agents with your MyCase practice management system. The assistant can fetch pending tasks, locate contacts, pull up matter details, and inspect file attachments via official OAuth 2.0 endpoints. Tokens remain on your computer, encrypted with AES-256-GCM.

Running the tool requires Node.js 18+ and a MyCase firm administrator profile. You must request your client credentials from MyCase support beforehand. The OAuth callback listens on port 5678 by default. Without an exact port match in your registered MyCase redirect URL, authentication will fail. The call logging feature remains experimental and activates only when `MYCASE_EXPERIMENTAL_TOOLS=1` is set.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `MYCASE_CLIENT_ID`, `MYCASE_CLIENT_SECRET`, `ENCRYPTION_KEY`, `MYCASE_REDIRECT_PORT`, `MYCASE_EXPERIMENTAL_TOOLS` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
