# ElevenLabs

## What it does

The server gives an agent access to ElevenLabs tools for speech generation, voice search, and scripted dialogue with multiple speakers. It can also create music and sound effects, transcribe recordings, and attach speaker labels or word timing to transcripts.

Other tools cover voice conversion, noise removal, dubbing, and pronunciation dictionaries. You need an ElevenLabs API key in `ELEVENLABS_API_KEY`; running it with `npx` requires Node.js 20+ and npm. `isolate_audio` fails on clips shorter than roughly 4.6 seconds, so check the recording length before using that tool.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `ELEVENLABS_API_KEY`, `MCP_WORKSPACE_PATH` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## When to use it

- transcribe a recording with word timestamps
- find voices in an account or shared library
- remove background noise from an audio file
