# MIND

MIND connects an agent to a knowledge graph and provides tools for memory, tasks, CRM, and finance. Use it when you want the agent to retain context across sessions.

## What it does

MIND gives an agent access to a knowledge graph. It can search and save records, retrieve preferences and recent activity, and work with goals, projects, calendars, and contacts. The server includes 44 tools, with dedicated groups for MoneyMIND, budgeting, spreadsheets, email, and e-signatures.

Other capabilities include research jobs, scheduled automations, and notifications. Some tools are restricted to administrators; social posts, outgoing email, and signature requests trigger actions outside the agent. Claude Code setup requires `MIND_API_KEY`. An alternate setup command also accepts `MIND_BASE_URL`; authenticated features depend on a valid API key.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `MIND_API_KEY`, `MIND_BASE_URL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
