# MetricBridge Apple Health

Serves 190 Apple Health metrics to your agent from a local export: sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, steps, workouts. Read-only, no account, nothing leaves your machine.

## What it does

The server starts from a single command and runs through `npx`, so there is no separate install step. It ships 16 tools and 22 prompts and answers in plain JSON. Data comes from the MetricBridge iOS app export, which you can drop in iCloud Drive, a local folder, or push over your LAN. The server only reads.

Point it at your folder with `HEALTH_DATA_DIR`. The iCloud folder name contains a space, so the path goes in double quotes and `$HOME` stands in for `~` — quoting stops the shell from expanding a tilde. No export yet? Run it with `--demo` and it serves a synthetic set covering 400 days, with every answer marked as synthetic.

A fresh export may not show up right away, because iCloud needs time to sync the file; a check a minute after you tap Run can still report the old timestamp. The `get_mcp_status` tool returns `lastDataDate` plus the intraday `lastWrite`, which tells syncing apart from a file that never arrived. By default the server is registered for the current project only; add `--scope user` to make it available everywhere.
