# MerchantFlow

MerchantFlow gives coding agents access to Shopify and WooCommerce financial data for store profit, product costs and ad performance analysis. Ask questions about your business using its actual figures.

## What it does

MerchantFlow combines Shopify or WooCommerce orders with product COGS, shipping and fulfillment charges, payment processing fees, and ad spend from Meta, Google and TikTok. Through an MCP connection, an agent can examine store finances, calculate product profitability and review advertising returns without relying on dashboard screenshots.

Available tools cover P&L reports, product margins, channel performance, missing cost data, customer cohorts, order searches and integration status. The `merchantflow-financial-copilot` skill guides the agent in selecting the appropriate tool, comparing reporting periods and identifying stale or incomplete records. Store access is read-only.

The MCP endpoint is `https://merchantflow.ai/api/mcp`, using HTTP and MerchantFlow OAuth. Configure the server in your client and sign in when prompted. Store analytics require an authorised MerchantFlow account. Access can be revoked under MerchantFlow Settings > Developer > MCP.

## When to use it
- compare store P&L across reporting periods
- identify products with negative net profit
- measure ROAS for each advertising channel
- find products missing COGS values
- inspect integrations for sync failures

## Example prompts
- Compare my store's P&L for last month with the month before and explain the main changes.
- Find the products with the highest net profit and flag items that are losing money.
- Break down ROAS by ad channel for this quarter and identify products without cost data.
