# Mencoro

## What it does

Mencoro monitors how brands appear across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview, and Google Shopping. The MCP connection exposes 66 tools (31 read-only and 35 state-changing) along with 20 prompts to your assistant. Through these endpoints, an agent checks share of voice, creates query clusters, or runs discovery tasks.

The server runs as a hosted endpoint at `https://api.mencoro.com/mcp`. For hosts limited to stdio execution, the `@mencoro/mcp` npm package works as a local bridge. Access levels split across three distinct permissions: `read`, `write`, and `organization:manage`.

Without completing OAuth or passing an access token, only the `get_mencoro_guide` prompt returns data. Fetching analytics or modifying tracked entities fails immediately without active credentials.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://api.mencoro.com/mcp`
- Environment variables: `MENCORO_API_KEY`, `MENCORO_MCP_URL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
