# mcp

Lets an AI assistant create pages, upload assets and publish a site to a custom domain. Connects over a URL, no API keys to manage.

## What it does

This is the WebsitePublisher.ai MCP server. Once connected, the assistant can reach into your project: pages, reusable fragments such as nav and footer, images and CSS, structured data, forms, integrations, analytics. That is 57 tools across twelve categories, from `create_page` and `patch_page` to `execute_integration` and `get_analytics`.

Auth runs on OAuth 2.1 with discovery. The client hits the server, gets a `401`, registers itself, opens a browser for Google or email-code login, and then works off the token. PKCE is enforced everywhere. Integration secrets sit in a separate vault encrypted with AES-256-GCM.

Because the service is SaaS, your content and records live on its side rather than in your repo. For small edits, `patch_page` sends a diff instead of the whole file, which keeps token use down. Version history and rollback are available too.

## When to use it
- assemble a landing page from separate HTML files and shared fragments
- push images and stylesheets into a project without touching hosting
- wire up a lead form that emails or posts to a webhook
- turn on visitor login by emailed link or code
- read pageviews, referrers, devices and UTM data

## Example prompts
- Create `about.html` and pull in the shared footer fragment
- Use patch_page to fix the headline on the home page, don't rewrite the whole file
- Set up the contact form and send submissions to email
