# Measure

Connects your coding agent to Measure telemetry: crashes, ANRs, slow traces and session replays from a mobile app. Useful when you need the root cause of a production bug.

## What it does

Measure is an open source alternative to Firebase Crashlytics for mobile apps. The MCP server hands your agent project data: sessions, crashes, ANRs, performance traces, network calls, user journeys and funnels. The agent reads that context and answers questions about what broke in plain language.

The server speaks HTTP at `https://agent.measure.sh/mcp`. Claude adds it with one command, Cursor and GitHub Copilot take a config block, Codex and Gemini CLI have their own commands. Nothing runs locally — everything talks to Measure Cloud.

For any of this to be useful, the SDK has to be integrated into the app itself: Android, iOS, Flutter or React Native. Without it and a registered project, the server has nothing to show. A Measure Cloud account or a self-hosted instance is required as well.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://agent.measure.sh/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http measure https://agent.measure.sh/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add mcp --url https://agent.measure.sh/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "mcp": {
            "url": "https://agent.measure.sh/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "mcp": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://agent.measure.sh/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http mcp https://agent.measure.sh/mcp
```

## When to use it
- trace a crash back to its root cause in a release build
- figure out why an ANR hits a specific device
- see which screen users get stuck on most often
- find the slowest network endpoint in the app
- reconstruct user actions leading up to a bug report

## Example prompts
- Show me today's crashes in the app with their stack traces
- Why does the checkout screen crash? Check traces and sessions
- Find the slowest endpoint from network performance this week
