## What it does

MCPBridge acts as a translation layer between Claude Code and creative desktop software. It routes agent instructions to external tools over two HTTP endpoints: port `7842` connects to a Roblox Studio Lua plugin, while port `7843` handles communication with Blender through Python.

The server depends on Node.js LTS. You must enable the internal MCP server toggle inside Roblox Studio's Assistant settings. Inside Blender, load `MCPBridge.py` through preferences and activate it with Start Bridge in the viewport sidebar. The Blender add-on fails immediately if the bridge server is not already active on `localhost:7843`.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)

**Platform CLI**
```bash
codex mcp add mcp-server -- npx -y @iamjrmh/mcpbridge
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
```bash
gemini mcp add mcp-server npx -y @iamjrmh/mcpbridge
```
## When to use it
- control Roblox Studio scenes directly from the Claude Code terminal
- send scene automation commands to Blender 3D viewports
- connect Ollama model workflows to game development environments
## Example prompts
- Spawn a red sphere in the active Blender scene and position it at the origin
- Inspect the opened Roblox Studio place and attach a touch-activated door script
