## What it does

mcp-ucp is intended to expose Google UCP commerce actions to an AI agent. Its tool set covers product discovery, product details, stock and delivery checks, cart changes, checkout, payment, orders, returns, shipment tracking, and buyer identity. There are 20 tools in total.

The package is deprecated because its current endpoint does not serve a working UCP service, so these tools cannot reach a commerce backend now. A working provider can be supplied through `UCP_BASE_URL`; requests use `UCP_API_KEY` as a Bearer token and may include `UCP_MERCHANT_ID` as the merchant header. Without a live UCP endpoint, catalog and order requests will fail.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `UCP_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## When to use it
- search a merchant product catalog
- check stock and delivery for a location
- build a cart and review shipping options
- start checkout and confirm an order
- track a shipment or request a return
