## What it does

The server gives an agent tools to create and look up identity inquiries, manage accounts and investigation cases, and retrieve reports. An inquiry uses a template configured in Persona: the end user completes Persona’s hosted flow, then the agent can check its status and record a decision. Accounts keep user records across inquiries, and cases group work on investigations.

There are 20 tools. The server builds Persona’s JSON:API request envelope, so tool parameters can use the inner attributes directly. A secret `PERSONA_API_KEY` is required; without it, the server cannot call Persona. `PERSONA_API_VERSION` is optional. Install the package with `npx` and register the server in Claude Code.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `PERSONA_API_KEY`, `PERSONA_API_VERSION` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## When to use it
- start an identity check from a Persona template
- find inquiries by status or internal user ID
- resume a paused verification flow
- keep a user account linked across inquiries
- open an investigation case and retrieve its reports
