## What it does

The server communicates over standard I/O to link coding agents with Microsoft Graph. Authentication relies on MSAL device code flow. Running the authorization generates a short code and an official Microsoft login URL. Once approved in a browser, credentials stay cached in `~/.mcp-microsoft-todo/token-cache.json` for subsequent calls.

The tool exposes distinct functions for task operations. You can pull today's summary, search entries by keyword, move tasks between lists, and set up recurrence. It also supports batch completion, category tagging, and exporting task data into iCalendar `.ics` files.

Node.js 20 or higher is required. For personal accounts on outlook.com or hotmail.com, you must pass `MS_TENANT=consumers` or authentication will fail.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `MS_CLIENT_ID`, `MS_TENANT` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
