# mcp-mercado-pago

## What it does

The server exposes tools for payments, Checkout Pro preferences, PIX, customers, balances, subscriptions, and merchant orders. Agents can also issue refunds, handle chargeback evidence, and create split payments. The README lists 30 tools.

In Claude Code, it runs through `npx` over stdio. HTTP transport is also available by setting `MCP_HTTP` and `MCP_PORT`. Supply `MERCADO_PAGO_ACCESS_TOKEN` when configuring the server; without a valid token, Mercado Pago requests cannot authenticate.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `MERCADO_PAGO_ACCESS_TOKEN` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
