# mcp-matera

An MCP server for Matera, Brazil's core-banking infrastructure: issue Pix charges, resolve DICT keys, move money. The package is deprecated because api.matera.com no longer resolves.

## What it does

The server exposes 22 tools to your agent. Static and dynamic Pix charges, due-dated charges, outbound transfers with refunds, incoming Pix listings, DICT key claim and removal, Pix Automático recurrence agreements, account balance and statement, and internal transfers between two Matera-held accounts. The audience is a fintech issuing its own accounts on top of Pix, not a merchant collecting payments. You run it with `npx` from the `@codespar/mcp-matera` package.

Version 0.1.0-alpha.1 keeps the tool surface stable while the actual wire paths stay unverified against a live sandbox. The author flags the auth choice as suspect: the code sends OAuth2 client credentials to `POST /auth/token`, yet Matera's docs put server integrations on `secret-key` and `data-signature` headers. Charge and payment paths are guesses too, presumably following the BCB spec with `/cob`, `/cobv` and `/rec`. `MATERA_CLIENT_ID` and `MATERA_CLIENT_SECRET` are required to start; `MATERA_BASE_URL` overrides the `https://api.matera.com` address.

What matters for a decision: npm marks the package deprecated, and the host it calls fails DNS resolution. No tool reaches a service. Installing makes sense only if you already hold a working Matera address for `MATERA_BASE_URL`.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `MATERA_CLIENT_ID`, `MATERA_CLIENT_SECRET`, `MATERA_BASE_URL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI**
```bash
claude mcp add --env MATERA_CLIENT_ID=<MATERA_CLIENT_ID> --env MATERA_CLIENT_SECRET=<MATERA_CLIENT_SECRET> --env MATERA_BASE_URL=<MATERA_BASE_URL> --transport stdio matera -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-matera
```
Replace <…> with your own values

### Codex

**Platform CLI**
```bash
codex mcp add matera --env MATERA_CLIENT_ID=<MATERA_CLIENT_ID> --env MATERA_CLIENT_SECRET=<MATERA_CLIENT_SECRET> --env MATERA_BASE_URL=<MATERA_BASE_URL> -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-matera
## When to use it
- issue a static or dynamic Pix charge on an account the fintech issued
- look up who owns a Pix key through DICT before sending money
- set up a Pix Automático agreement for recurring debits
- refund an outbound Pix payment by `endToEndId`
- pull an account statement or balance from Matera
## Example prompts
- Create a static Pix charge for 150 BRL on the merchant key
- Resolve the DICT entry for `fulano@exemplo.com` and show me the ISPB
- Register a Pix Automático for a monthly 49.90 debit and return the `idRec`
