## What it does

This local MCP server bridges tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex with Premiere Pro using Adobe's UXP and CEP/ExtendScript APIs. The core build provides 436 tools across 67 modules, plus 4 resources and 29 workflows. Connecting the UXP host adds 96 capability-gated tools for timeline inspection and asset management.

Safe usage starts with a connection check. Running `verify_premiere_connection` confirms the bridge before any sequence edits occur. The integration requires Node.js 20.19 or higher alongside a separate Premiere connector, meaning the MCP package alone cannot control the editor without that companion piece. It also includes a dedicated workflow to hand off completed After Effects renders directly into an existing bin.

The server operates strictly on the local machine without remote intermediaries. It supports Premiere Pro releases from 2020 through 2026.
