## What it does

This server connects an agent to BCRA’s public API. Its tools retrieve currency quotes for a chosen date or range, look up monetary variables and their historical series, and fetch inflation, reserve, and interest-rate figures. It can also find financial entities by cheque code and check whether a cheque number has been reported lost or stolen.

To add it in Claude Code, run `claude mcp add mcp-bcra -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-bcra`. No API key or login is needed. HTTP transport uses `MCP_HTTP` and `MCP_PORT`; the public API may impose request limits, so account for that if your agent makes frequent calls.
