## What it does

This integration grants coding assistants direct access to Asaas financial workflows. It provides 24 tools covering customer records, boleto barcode generation, static Pix QR codes, and card charges with installment splits. Assistants can also inspect account balances, trigger refunds, register subaccounts, and manage recurring plans.

The server runs via npx with `@codespar/mcp-asaas`. Live calls and testing against `sandbox.asaas.com` require your token in the `ASAAS_API_KEY` environment variable. Without a valid credential or the demo toggle active, remote API operations will immediately fail.

You can prototype locally without an account by enabling `MCP_DEMO=true` or passing the `--demo` argument. This fixture mode tracks newly generated payments in memory and previews multi-month installment schedules without contacting external servers.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `ASAAS_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
