# Market Intel MCP

## What it does

The server exposes five HTTP-based tools directly to your assistant. Tools like `fx_rates` and `fx_convert` fetch latest quotes or exchange values between selected currencies. Historical checks rely on `fx_historical`, while `fx_timeseries` supplies rate trends across a date window.

Data originates from European Central Bank reference benchmarks distributed by the open Frankfurter API. Because these numbers serve informational goals only, they should not settle financial transactions.

Setup requires pointing your client at `https://market.datakoot.com/mcp`. Free usage allows 100 tool calls each day without accounts or tokens. Connecting to the endpoint and querying tool definitions remains free of charge.

## When to use it
- convert money amounts between currency pairs
- fetch ECB reference rates for a specific past date
- retrieve exchange rate history across a custom date range
- inspect supported currency symbols via `fx_currencies`
