## What it does

maintenant gives an agent an infrastructure view through MCP. It tracks container state, health checks, restart loops, resources, and live logs, then checks HTTP and TCP endpoints, TLS certificates, cron jobs, image updates, and CVEs. Alerts can be acknowledged, while the agent investigates the reported issue. It never changes containers.

The server runs as a single Docker container and reads the Docker socket as `ro`; Kubernetes support uses read-only RBAC and namespace filtering. Claude Code can connect through a local Docker process or an HTTP endpoint. The UI and API have no built-in authentication, so an exposed port should sit behind a reverse proxy or bind to `127.0.0.1`.

                "ghcr.io/kolapsis/maintenant:1.10.1"
            ]
        }
    }
}
```
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "maintenant": {
            "url": "https://{maintenant_host}/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```
### GitHub Copilot
1. **Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "maintenant": {
            "type": "stdio",
            "command": "docker",

File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "maintenant": {
            "type": "http",
```

### Gemini CLI

1. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini mcp add maintenant docker run -i --rm ghcr.io/kolapsis/maintenant:1.10.1
```

2. **Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http maintenant https://{maintenant_host}/mcp
```

## When to use it
- inspect container health and restart loops
- trace an outage through live container logs
- track TLS certificate expiry
- check an endpoint and surface its alert
- review image updates and CVE risk

## Example prompts
- Check the containers and explain why one of them keeps restarting.
- Show the latest logs for the service and inspect its health checks.
- Check TLS certificates, endpoints, and active alerts.
