## What it does

Maguyva gives agents several ways to search indexed repositories: semantic matching, AST structure, graph relationships, and full-text queries. It covers 279+ languages. Searching requires a Maguyva API key and indexed repositories.

Claude Code can connect to the remote server over HTTP. A local Node.js bridge is available for clients that only speak stdio; it forwards requests to the remote endpoint. The bridge will not run without Node.js, while a direct HTTP connection does not use it. You can also install the Maguyva skill, which guides the agent on tool choice and search use.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://maguyva.tools/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http maguyva https://maguyva.tools/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add maguyva --url https://maguyva.tools/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "maguyva": {
            "url": "https://maguyva.tools/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "maguyva": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://maguyva.tools/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http maguyva https://maguyva.tools/mcp
```

## When to use it
- locate a function in an indexed repository
- find code by intent when its exact wording is unknown
- trace links between project components through the graph
- search code by AST structure

## Example prompts
- Find where the authentication handler is defined in my indexed repositories.
- Locate the code that builds this API response even though I don't remember the file names.
- Trace which parts of the project call this function through the graph.
