## What it does

The MCP server grants coding environments direct access to the Magpipe platform. It exposes tools to initiate phone calls, fetch audio recordings, inspect conversation transcripts, and dispatch text messages. You can also inspect contacts and manage booking slots.

Beyond live calling, it handles knowledge base ingestion via manual text or web URLs. Running the server requires a valid `MAGPIPE_API_KEY` token starting with `mgp_`. Without this credential, the server rejects API calls immediately.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `MAGPIPE_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI**
```bash
claude mcp add magpipe -e MAGPIPE_API_KEY=<MAGPIPE_API_KEY> -- npx -y magpipe-mcp-server
```
Replace <…> with your own values

### Codex

**Platform CLI**
```bash
codex mcp add mcp-server --env MAGPIPE_API_KEY=<MAGPIPE_API_KEY> -- npx -y magpipe-mcp-server
