# macOS Calendar and Reminders

This Swift MCP server lets an AI work with macOS calendars, events, and reminders. Use it to search entries, manage tasks, or check for schedule conflicts.

## What it does

Built with Swift and EventKit, the server exposes tools for calendars, events, and reminders. It can create and edit entries, search reminders by words or tags, detect conflicts, and handle batch operations. Events can include a location, URL, reminder, or recurrence.

macOS asks for Calendar and Reminders access on first use; the server needs permission to work with either app. In Claude Code, install the plugin through its marketplace. The plugin includes `/today`, `/week`, `/quick-event`, and `/remind`, plus a hook that checks the weekday when writing events. The README also gives a separate setup path for running the MCP server without the plugin.

- create an event with a location and reminder
- find reminders by tag or keyword
- spot scheduling conflicts
- add several events in one operation
- preview completed reminders before deleting them

## Example prompts
- Add a planning meeting to my calendar and set a reminder for it.
- Find reminders tagged `work`.
- Show this week's events and flag any conflicts.
