# Limrun

Limrun lets an agent work with cloud-hosted iOS simulators and Android emulators. Connect it to inspect screens and interact with apps on those devices.

## What it does

The server creates and removes devices, reports their status, and lets an agent control them. It can tap, type, scroll, open URLs, and return screenshots with an element tree. iOS tools also cover app launch and logs; Android tools handle screen actions and links.

These are real simulators and emulators running in Limrun’s cloud, not mock devices. The server uses streamable HTTP. Sign-in is available through OAuth, while headless access uses a Limrun organization API key as a bearer token. Build tasks and work involving local files go through lim CLI, so the MCP connection alone does not cover those steps.

For Claude Code, run `claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.limrun.com/mcp`, followed by `claude mcp add --transport http limrun https://mcp.limrun.com/mcp`. Idle instances terminate automatically.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://mcp.limrun.com/mcp`

claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.limrun.com/mcp
```
### Codex
**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add limrun --url https://mcp.limrun.com/mcp
```
### Cursor
**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
        "limrun": {
            "url": "https://mcp.limrun.com/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

        }
    }
}
```
### Gemini CLI
**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http limrun https://mcp.limrun.com/mcp
```
## When to use it
- spin up a cloud iOS simulator to check an app
- inspect an Android screen through its screenshot and element tree
- open a URL and interact with an app
- read logs from an iOS app
- remove devices after a test run
## Example prompts
- Set up a cloud iOS simulator and show me its current screen.
- Open `example.com` on the device, then select its first link.
- List my running devices and remove them when the check is done.
