## What it does

LightCMS connects websites directly to coding agents via the Model Context Protocol. Built in Go, the engine exposes endpoints for content moderation and approval workflows. Readers' assistants can browse published posts through `/mcp-public`. For semantic search without remote API keys, local embeddings run via Ollama when setting `LIGHTCMS_EMBEDDINGS_PROVIDER=ollama`.

Automated updates stay isolated through a copy-on-write staging sandbox. An agent writes edits into a separate fork, letting human editors inspect field-level diffs before merging. Live production articles remain untouched until explicit approval.

The system handles AI discoverability natively. It generates clean Markdown duplicates at `/<page>.md`, builds `/llms.txt`, notifies search engines via IndexNow, and charts crawler requests from assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude.

## Requirements
- Needs: a prebuilt binary from the repository releases
- Environment variables: `LIGHTCMS_URL`, `LIGHTCMS_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
