## What it does

Legal MCP gives an AI client access to public legal records. It can look up cases by a person or company name, CPF, CNPJ, or CNJ number, then gather DJEN notices, sanctions, municipal mentions, and court decisions into a consolidated report.

The server exposes 20 tools for case discovery, document checks, CNPJ records, monitoring, DJEN searches, and legal research. CPF and CNPJ searches first resolve the document to a name and then search by name; that flow runs asynchronously and returns a `job_id` for polling. It uses MCP over HTTP at `https://api.mcp.ai/legal`.

The service only reads from public official sources and does not alter records. Results are sent to the LLM host selected by the user, so legal decisions still require checking the relevant court website.
