# Layven

Shared storage for autonomous agents. Tracks file revisions, logs which assistant made each update, and handles rollbacks.

## What it does

Layven connects assistants to an external file system over `https://api.layven.io/mcp`. Every write creates a fresh version record. When someone overwrites data or drops a file, the `restore` tool recovers previous snapshots or removes tombstones. Changes also link to specific agent tokens inside the activity log.

The server includes file reads, inline writes, line edits, RE2 pattern matching via `grep`, and five-minute advisory path locks. Without a valid agent token from the web console, requests return an authorization error. Secret tokens appear only once during generation.

- prevent race conditions using path locks
