# LaborIQ Salary Data

Pulls median US pay for a job title and location into your agent chat. Handy when you need a quick salary range for a posting or an offer.

## What it does

There is one tool here: `get_salary_data`. Hand it a job title plus a US city or state and it answers with the median salary. Pro-tier keys open up more, including salary forecasts.

LaborIQ hosts the server itself; the repository holds documentation only. It speaks Streamable HTTP at `https://mcp.laboriq.co/mcp` and authenticates with an `x-api-key` header. If your client cannot reach a remote HTTP server on its own, route it through `npx` with `mcp-remote@latest`.

No key, no data. Free keys come from an email request at `https://laboriq.co/mcp`; Pro keys are issued in the LaborIQ portal. Drop your key into the config where `<your-key>` sits — leave the placeholder in place and every call fails.
