# Kronos

Kronos predicts upcoming daily candles for China A-shares. Use it when an agent needs a price-history forecast with an expected return value.

## What it does

Kronos wraps the Kronos K-line time-series model as an MCP server. Give it a symbol and `pred_len`, and it returns the next daily candles with open, high, low, close, and volume. The `kronos_health` tool checks service access and the API key; `kronos_predict` runs the forecast and also returns `expected_return`, based on the last predicted close versus the last real close.

The server needs a KRONOS API key in `KRONOS_API_KEY`; you can request one at `https://hunter.agentpit.io/dev/api-keys`. Claude Code starts it with `uvx kronos-mcp` through `claude mcp add`. Without `KRONOS_API_KEY`, the server returns an error. Each request takes 30–70 seconds, and the model reads price history only, so it does not account for news, trading halts, or earnings dates. Coverage is limited to China A-shares.

## Requirements
- Needs: Python and uv (commands run via uvx)
- Environment variables: `KRONOS_API_KEY`, `KRONOS_URL`, `KRONOS_TIMEOUT` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

- forecast the next daily candles for a stock symbol
- inspect expected return from the predicted close
- check whether the service and API key work
- separate supported China A-shares from US or HK tickers
